They were competing in Where Angels Dare 2007, organised by Cambridge University Entrepreneurs (CUE), for a total prize fund of no less than £30,000. Click here to browse photographs of the event.

Where Angels Dare 2007

CUE will award £30,000 in cash prizes to the winners of our prestigious business creation competitions in an exciting Dragons' Den style showdown!
Since 1999, CUE has had over 450 entries and has awarded over £280,000 in grants to 31 business ideas. These companies have raised more than £15m further funding and are currently valued at more than £30m. Our competitions help create global companies.

CUEBiC & 3P Second Round Deadline 23 April 2023
Submitted by Rahul Vohra on Sun, 11/02/2023 - 20:35.The finalists must submit full business plans and posters of their business ideas. The full business plan is limited to 40 pages.
Submissions consist of a full business plan describing the service or product, an estimation of the realism and size of the market, an explanation of the competitive advantage your idea possesses, a thorough analysis of how the business will be funded, an operational plan covering logistical issues and a brief description of the skills, commitment and other qualities that you and any team members would bring to the process of realising the idea. Submissions to the 3P competition should also give a compelling description of their social or environmental purpose.
CUEBiC & 3P Second Round Boot Camp

This is a great opportunity to hear from successful entrepreneurs, an experienced business angel, a venture capitalist and managers from law and consultancy firms. The event will help you succeed in your own business. Various topics will be covered including business plan financials, market strategy, intellectual property and raising funding. Please refer to the programme below for details.

Finalists' Dinner
Submitted by Rahul Vohra on Sun, 11/02/2023 - 20:30.The Finalists’ Dinner is an annual black-tie event where the finalists for the CUEBiC and 3P competitions are announced. The finalists are chosen based upon the first round submissions. The finalists will have the opportunity to make a 55 second pitch to an audience of fellow entrants, judges, mentors and invited guests from the business community. After the Finalists’ Dinner, each finalist team will be allocated an experienced mentor.
At least one member of each team in the competition must attend the Finalists’ Dinner.

2005 CUEBiC Winner Wins 'Running the Gauntlet 2006'

MARGO, a spin-out of the Cambridge University Engineering Department, was formed shortly after its proposal won the CUE Business Creation Competition (CUEBiC) in 2005/06.
