Cambridge University Entrepreneurs run many events throughout the year relating to our business planning and creation competitions. These events may be found on the calendar.
Cambridge University Entrepreneurs is also a supporter of Cambridge Business Lectures, which brings in a variety of speakers to talk on a wide range of topics. Registration for upcoming talks can be found here.
In addition, the Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning run the popular Enterprise Tuesday series of talks. The details for these may be found here.
Cambridge Enterprise run free Specialist Surgeries on various topics of interest to our members. The details of these may be found here.
2009/10
The major events that took place in the Michaelmas Term have been very successful with many of them being oversubscribed. Details of the major events held are described below:
Grand Launch -Wed 14th Oct '09
On 14th Oct, CUE held its Grand Launch and celebrated its 10 years anniversary presenting a panel of successful CUE alumni, stretching back from the origins of CUE through to our most recent winners. The
room was packed, the panel was very engaging and the audience was animated. To add to the excitement, competition winner 09 "MagicSolver Ltd", dazzled the audience with their new magic iPhone App, FaceShift.
Alumni Venture Lecture Series Wed 21st Oct '09 - jointly organised with Oxford Entrepreneurs
First of four lectures: Keynote speaker - Sir Paul Judge, Panel with Victoria Lennox (NACUE), Rajeeb Dey (CEO Enterships.com). Lecture and network with drinks and catering.
Cambridge Apprentice Sat 14th Nov '09 - jointly organised with CUTEC
18 teams (two teams per set of mentors from nine external organisations e.g. Papworth Trust). 5 hours for each team to address one of the following aspects of a real business task: business creation, fundraising, product design, marketing, and sales. Teams pitched proposal at the end, competing against the other team who worked on the same task. Finally, networking with drinks and catering.

1K Training Day
- Morning of talks on writing an executive summary, marketing, corporation lifecycles, finance and intellectual property. Team task in the afternoon, building and launching rockets, followed by Belbin analysis. Networking in parallel with surgeries on drafts of executive summaries teams had prepared. Morning coffee break, lunch, and drinks reception provided.
