IDLink

IDLink is an engineering start-up founded by Coventry University PhD students intent on commercializing hardware-based wireless security devices. The proof-of-concept product will make computers fully secure from unauthorised access and will be a strong deterrent to theft. The technology will be developed for use in a variety of consumer electronics and licensed to Original Equipment Manufacturers, with projected revenues in 2006 of US$20M. Currently a patent application and a working prototype are being prepared, with licensing activities slated to start in Q3 2005. IDLink: the future of hacker-proof security.
