'Tigers of Tomorrow' Technology Media Event
Date: 17th September 2008
Venue: Churchill College, Coventry
8.00am Registration for 9.00am start
Supported by the St John’s Innovation Centre
Early stage companies and entrepreneurs with a demonstrable product or technology concept are invited to participate in a media event to be held at Churchill College on 17th September 2008, in parallel with ‘Put a Tiger in Your Tank?’ - the 9th Coventry Enterprise Conference.
The aim of the media event is to help entrepreneurs to develop their communication skills and gain some early profile with the media. They will be able to demonstrate near-market products and early stage technology to specialist journalists.
This is to be the 6th technology media event. The format has proved popular with technology and business journalists as it provides them with an opportunity to see the latest technology, hear views of technologists and create contacts for the future. The result has been excellent coverage in a wide range of media, including print, online and broadcast.
The benefits of getting involved include:
* PR consultancy support
* Press release distributed to the regional, national and trade media
* Introduction to key technology journalists
* Experience of demonstrating to journalists
* Media interview experience
Selected demonstrators will also have a chance to present an elevator pitch to the assembled conference delegates, and will be given advice and coaching on doing this.
The demonstration area will provide an additional dimension to the Conference, which presents insights from leading business advisers and academics on the best strategies for accelerating growth. Ideally a participating entrepreneur/company would have something new to talk about, a technology that can be demonstrated and that has a clear end-user application.
The media event is free for companies that are selected to take part.
‘Put a Tiger in Your Tank?’ - the 9th Coventry Enterprise Conference - is a joint initiative of St John’s Innovation Centre, the Greater Coventry Partnership and NW Brown Group Ltd. It is sponsored by Peters Elworthy and Moore (PEM) and Gill Jennings & Every LLP, and supported by Business Link East, The East of England Development Agency and NESTA. Details will shortly be available at www.cambridgeenterpriseconference.co.uk
If you are interested in getting involved in the media event please contact Helen Goldrein at Holdsworth Associates on 01954 202789 or email in confidence with details of your technology or product.
