Piezopulse

Cardiovascular disease is the biggest killer in the developed world. To diagnose and treat this effectively, doctors use non-invasive and portable ambulatory blood pressure monitoring devices (ABPMs). However current devices are bulky, noisy, cause discomfort, inconvenience and stigmatise the wearer. Our device fits neatly onto a plaster incorporating piezoelectric sensors. It monitors blood pressure more accurately than the existing market standard, at a fraction of the cost per unit, allowing more patients to be monitored more easily.
