CUE Grand Launch for 2005/2006

On the Tuesday 13th October, CUE will be celebrating the beginning of its entrepreneurial year with its Grand Launch at the Law Faculty Lecture Block Room, from 18:00 to 21:00. You are cordially invited to attend.

CUE has a strong record for helping innovative ideas become commercialised, and with a rapidly expanding publicity and contacts base, the formula for success looks bound to continue into this year - we are hoping to build on the successes of last year, where the winners of the £50k competition (now known as the CUEBiC Competition) walked away with £150,000 investment after a nerve-racking negotiation with angel investors live on stage.

This year, as well as the CUEBiC, there is the 3P Business Creation Competition for social and not-for-profit entrepreneurship, and the £100 Pitch, where you can win £100 for a 55 second talk sound-bite on a business idea! Over the past few years, CUE competitions have been very popular amongst research-based ideas. Obviously we want this to continue, but also want to encourage other, non-research-based, ideas to enter the competition: they just have to be innovative and entrepreneurial!
